This incense stick holder has been cut and carved from pine in Scotland by craftsman Gordon Keenan.
It has been finished in the traditional shou-sugi-ban style of Japan. Here the wood is burnt to provide a durable and attractive finish. Once the char is removed, several coats of oil are applied to seal the wood.
Approximately 23cm (9") long and 3cm (1 1/8") wide.
